Self Colour is to be even over the entire body. Colour to extend to the ears, feet, and tail. A slightly lighter belly colour is not desirable but is acceptable. Black: Colour is a deep lustrous black, devoid of rustiness or white hairs. Eye colour is black. Blue: Colour is slate blue, as dark as possible, with no brown colouration or silvering. Eye colour is black. Coffee: Colour is light brown, similar to coffee with cream. Not to be confused with beige. Eye colour is ruby. Russian Blue: Colour is like that of a Russian Blue cat, very dark slate blue with dark ticking throughout. Eye colour is black. Self Faults Faded or rusty colour, blotchiness, white feet. Self Disqualifications White spot on the body or white tail tip. Ticked Entire upper body is of the same colour, but the coat consists of individual hairs banded with two or more colours, evenly interspersed with coloured guard hairs. Colour to extend to ears feet and tail. Belly colour to be lighter shade of body colour. Agouti: Colour is a rich chestnut with dark slate at the base of the hair. Coat is evenly ticked with black guard hairs. Belly colour is silver grey. Eye colour is black. Amber: Colour is a light golden orange, evenly interspersed with light hairs. Belly colour is light, but not white. Eye colour is red (pink). Blue Agouti: Colour is a medium slate at the base of the hair with a yellow-tan band on top. Coat is evenly ticked with blue guard hairs. Belly colour is silver blue. Eye colour is black. Chinchilla: Colour is silver grey with medium slate at the base of the hair. Coat is evenly ticked with black guard hairs. Eye colour is black. Cinnamon: Colour is a warm russet brown, evenly ticked with chocolate guard hairs, with medium slate at the base of the hair. Belly colour light shade of silver grey. Eye colour is black. Cinnamon Pearl: Coat consists of three bands of colour from the base up - cream, blue, orange, with silver guard hairs, to give an overall golden appearance with a silver sheen. Belly fur pale silver grey. Eye colour is black. Fawn: To be a rich, golden fawn evenly ticked with silver guard hairs. Under colour to be pale blue/grey carried down to the skin. Belly fur to be creamy silver. Any tendency to sootiness or greyness of top colour to be penalised. Eye colour is ruby. Lynx: An attractive blend of dove grey ticking, over a medium fawn. Under colour pale grey down to the skin. Belly colour silver. A blue tinge to be adjudged a fault. Eye colour is black. Pearl: Colour is palest silver, shading to creamish under colour. Each hair to be delicately tipped with grey evenly over the whole animal. Belly fur is pale silver-grey. Foot colour match top. Eye colour is black. Ticked Faults: Faded or rusty colour, blotchiness or white feet. Ticked Disqualifications: White spot on the body or white tail tip. |
