6.1 Right of Appeal a) A Member may appeal to the Club, against a resolution of the Committee within fourteen (14) after the notice of resolution is served on that Member, by lodging a notice to that effect with the Secretary. b) On receipt of a notice of appeal from a Member, the Secretary must notify the Committee, at which time a Special meeting of the Club will be convened. Special meeting to be held within twenty-eight (28) days of the notice being received by the Secretary. c) Right of Appeal is not extended to Members who have been convicted of an offence under the Cruelty to Animals Act 1950/51, or any Amendment thereof. d) Right of Appeal is not extended to any NSWFRMC Committee Member who is found to have fraudulently accepted a Committee position with NSWFRMC whilst a Member of another Rat and/or Mouse Club. e) At a Special meeting of the Club convened under Clause b): i. the Committee and the Member must be given the opportunity to state their respective cases; ii. the Members present are to vote by secret ballot on the question of whether the resolution should be confirmed or revoked; iii. if at the Special meeting the Club votes in favour of confirmation of the original resolution the resolution is confirmed. 7.0 Funds Management a) Funds are collected from Membership Fees, Show Entry Fees, Merchandise Sales, Advertising Sales, Sponsorship, Donations and proceeds of Club Raffles. i. Membership Fees are Collectable from Members on commencement of their membership and on their annual membership anniversary. ii. Show Entry Fees are payable prior to or on show day. iii. Merchandise sales are payable prior to collection of merchandise. iv. Advertising Sales - payment must be lodged with advertising copy to the Editor. v. All monies collected, except Advertising Sales and Membership Fees, must be given to the Treasurer on the day they are collected with all supporting documentation. b) All Funds collected become the property of the New South Wales Fancy Rat & Mouse Club. c) Subject to any resolution passed by the Committee, the Funds of the Club shall be used for the purchase of merchandise & equipment for the Club, production of the Club magazine -Twitches, and any awards or other functions determined suitable by the Club. d) The Treasurer shall sign all cheques, drafts and other negotiable instruments. e) The Editor will provide a monthly Advertising Account reconciliation for all Advertisements placed and monies collected to the Treasurer. 8.0 Disposal Of Assets On Winding Up The Club is prohibited from making any distribution to its' Members, whether in money, property or any other way, of any assets belonging to the Club. This does not prevent payment in good faith of amounts due to any officers of the Club for out of pocket expenses actually incurred on behalf of the Club. a) If upon the winding up of the Club there remains, after satisfaction of all its' debts and liabilities, any property, it must be given or transferred to a society whose aim is to succour pets and/or domestic animals. b) Special Resolution of the Club must nominate the organisation at the time of winding up. |
