Part 4.1 Removal of a Committee Member

a) The Club in Committee meeting may by resolution remove any Member of the Committee from the office of the Member before the expiration of the Members' term of office and may by resolution appoint another person to hold office until the expiration of the term of office of the Member so removed.

b) Any NSWFRMC Committee Member who is found to have fraudulently accepted a Committee position with NSWFRMC whilst a Member of another Rat and/or Mouse Club shall be immediately dismissed from his/her Committee position in the NSWFRMC and have their Club Membership revoked with no right of appeal.

c) Committee Members who have been convicted of an offence under the Cruelty to Animals Act 1950/51, or any Amendment thereof will be immediately expelled from the Club.


Part 5.0 Meetings and Quorum

a) The Committee will meet at the beginning or end of each show if requested by a Committee Member.

b) The Committee will meet by Special Meeting if requested by a Club Member, at the end of any show not at an outside venue.

c) Any four (4) Members of the Committee constitute a quorum for the transaction of the business of a meeting of the Committee.

d) The Committee shall transact no business unless a quorum is present and if within half an hour of the time appointed for the meeting a quorum is not present, the meeting stands adjourned until another date is agreed.

e) Reasonable action must be taken to advise all Committee Members of proposed meeting.

f) At a meeting of the Committee:

1) the President or, in the Presidents absence, the Vice-President shall preside, or

2) if the President and the Vice-President are absent or unwilling to act, one of the remaining Members of the Committee may be chosen by the Members present to preside.


Part 5.1 Bi-Annual General Meetings

a) The Bi-Annual General Meeting of the Club shall be held in January but not later than February of that year on such date and at such place and time as the Committee considers suitable.

b) In addition to any other business which may be transacted at the Bi-Annual General Meeting the business of the Bi-Annual General Meeting shall be:

i. to confirm the minutes of the last preceding Bi-Annual General Meeting and of any Special Meeting held since the last Bi-Annual General Meeting.

ii. to receive from the Committee reports upon the activities of the Club during the last preceding financial year

iii. to elect office-bearers of the Club.


Nominations for Committee Positions

a) The Secretary must receive Nominations of members for election to Committee no later than 21 days prior to the date of the Bi-Annual General meeting. Nominations may be received by Post or Electronic mail and must include the proposer s Name and Membership Number.

b) All Nominees must be Financial Members of the NSWFRMC and not be subject to unresolved disciplinary action by the Committee nor can they be Financial Members of other Rat and/or Mouse Clubs.

c) The ONLY exception relating to 'closing date for Nominations' is when a position has not received a Nominee by the closing date. In that case, Members, attending the Bi-Annual General Meeting may orally propose and second a Nominee.

d) If more than one person is nominated for each Committee position by the closing date, a Formal Ballot will be held at the Bi-Annual General Meeting to confirm the successful Nominees.

e) If only one person is nominated for each Committee position by the 'closing date for Nominations' the Chairperson of the Bi-Annual General Meeting (Current President) shall declare those Nominated as duly elected to the Committee.

f) Members wishing to vote for Nominees must be in attendance at the Bi-Annual General Meeting.
